Revitalizing the Northeast Library’s branding allows the library to have a fresh image that continues to be relatable and successful. By doing the brand update, it allows the library to reach further into the community and re-engage with their target audience. The goal of this re-brand is to highlight all the amenities the Northeast Library offers so the library can continue to fulfill it’s mission statement: to nourish minds, transform lives and build community together. We envision a Hennepin County where library services ensure every person has the opportunity and resources to read, graduate, engage, work and learn. The new logo and brand guidelines gives the library an updated and modern look while drawing on a classic element of Northeast Minneapolis, the Grain Belt beer neon sign that overlooks the Mississippi River. Integrating mobile options for the library helps attract a younger audience to the library and promotional materials helps bring awareness to library assets that the community can take advantage of.
